In search of news that has meaning I accidentally fell upon the story with the top most powerful people. I was captured. I patiently clicked through each name until I hit the top two most powerful. Listed as #1 is Putin so I guess he only had to do one thing right and the low bar was set. He did work out a Syria deal for poisons destroyed. That does have meaning or it will have meaning if it is done. Obama came in at #2 position which is not bad. It is not 10th. He came in under the massively huge success of Putin which is fine. Obama’s administration only suggested it (or as republicans like to say "accidentally said it") But that was not the real story. The real story came when I read the public remarks. It seems every single republican on planet earth found that story and celebrated the loser (2nd place Obama) losing to the winner (1st place Putin.) The top visitor response was “That doesn’t surprise me, Obama is a disgrace to the US” and that one got 3,931 thumbs up. The #2 comment was “Not something terribly surprising. He is a coward and a liar. I am sure he is popular with libs because of that.. but the US is tired of his CRAP!” and I remembered Obama was just re-elected by a rather large majority but oh well, 3,054 thumbs up for that remark from people who forgot!
And so it went with over 3,000 people meticulously celebrating the US symbolically with a “We’re Number Two!” “We’re Number Two!” click of the thumbs up to their peer.
And then I thought that perhaps I am wrong. This may not be Republican’s drunk on glee over Obama news. I may actually have accidentally clicked into the Russia Message Board.
Just to be safe because I know Putin and his shirtless human rights record I typed and entered a quick “Putin Sucks!” and turned off my computer before they could capture me.
